【摘要】:Mercaptansulfurhasanobjectionableodor,anadverseeffectonfuelsystemelastomers,andiscorrosivetofuelsystemcomponents.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofmercaptansulfuringasolines,kerosines,aviationturbinefuels,anddistillatefuelscontainingfrom0.0003to0.01mass%ofmercaptansulfur.Organicsulfurcompoundssuchassulfides,disulfides,andthiophene,donotinterfere.Elementalsulfurinamountslessthan0.0005mass%doesnotinterfere.Hydrogensulfidewillinterfereifnotremoved,asdescribedin9.2.1.2ThevaluesinacceptableSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,seeSections6,8,9,andAppendixX1.X1.1.1Thistestmethodprovidesanalternativetousingacadmiumsulfateacidsolution.(WarningPoison.Maybefatalifswallowedorinhaled.Aknowncarcinogen(animalpositive).)(WarningPoison.Causessevereburns.Harmfulorfatalifswallowedorinhaled.)X1.1.2Thistestmethodusesleadacetatetestpaper(WarningPoison,healthhazard,maybetoxicbyingestion,inhalation,orabsorptionthroughtheskin)totestforthepresenceofhydrogensulfideandsodiumhydrogencarbonatefortheremovalofhydrogensulfide.X1.1.3ThistestmethodshallnotbeusedwhenthesampleisarefereesampleorwhenQA/QCprotocolsspecifythetestmethodaswritten.Instancesinwhichtheycanbeusedmaybeinstancesofroutinerefinerycontrolsamples.
