【摘要】:Thetransportofanysuspendedsolidsorcorrosionproductsfromthepreboilercyclehasbeenshowntobedetrimentaltoalltypesofsteamgeneratingequipment.Corrosionproducttransportaslowas10ppbcanhavesignificantimpactonsteamgeneratorsperformance.DepositedcorrosionproductsonPWRsteamgeneratortubescanreduceheattransfer,and,ifthedepositissufficientlythick,canprovidealocalareaforimpuritiesinthebulkwatertoconcentrate,resultinginacorrosiveenvironment.InBWRplants,thetransportofcorrosionproductscancausefuelfailure,outofcoreradiationproblemsfromactivationreactions,andothermaterialrelatedproblems.Infossilplants,thetransportofcorrosionproductscanreduceheattransferintheboilersleadingtotubefailuresfromoverheating.Theremovalofthesecorrosionproductsbychemicalcleaningisexpensiveandpotentiallyharmfultotheboilertubes.Normally,grabsamplesarenotsensitiveenoughtodetectchangesinthelevelofcorrosionproducttransport.Also,systemtransientsmaybemissedbyonlytakinggrabsamples.Anintegratedsampleovertimewillincreasethesensitivityfordetectingthecorrosionproductsandprovideabetterunderstandingofthetotalcorrosionproducttransporttosteamgenerators.1.1Thispracticeisapplicableforsamplingcondensedsteamorwater,suchasboilerfeedwater,forthecollectionofsuspendedsolidsand(optional)ionicsolidsusinga0.45-x03BC;mmembranefilter(suspendedsolids)andionexchangemedia(ionicsolids).Asthemajorsuspendedcomponentfoundinmostboilerfeedwatersissomeformofcorrosionproductfromthepreboilersystem,thedeviceusedforthispracticeiscommonlycalledacorrosionproductsampler.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
